Perfect New World (Mobile) is a Brand New Upcoming Global MMORPG

We just finished covering Perfect World Games’ brand new upcoming “Perfect New World” MMORPG for release on PC and consoles (currently undisclosed specifically which consoles the MMO is going to release on,) but with that announcement came another: Perfect New World is getting a standalone mobile MMO version as well, completely disconnected from the PC/console incarnations of the game.

Despite having an identical name (it honestly doesn’t even have the “mobile” prefix,) Perfect New World is being built as its own game. Yes, the MMO is being built on Unreal Engine 4 – looking at the game is evidence of that. It’s a beautiful looking title from the (single) trailer we’ve seen for it.

Much like the vast majority of new mobile MMO reveals, Perfect World Games have confirmed that this game is going to have a large focus on not only co-operative play, but also on large-scale battles featuring a plethora of different players occupying the same world-space at once.

Additionally, and I’m not sure why this is necessarily a feature they feel the need to mention, but NPCs are going to have their own individual appearance and routing patterns. Every NPC? I highly doubt it, but I’m assuming important ones. If they plan on animating every single NPC separately, I foresee this game taking a couple decades to finish.

Perfect New World (Mobile) Global Release?

Perfect New World is confirmed to be in development for a global audience. Perfect New World mobile, though? While nothing concrete has been confirmed, I wouldn’t believe why New Jade Dynasty World and Perfect New World would both receive global released, and not have the mobile version of Perfect New World receive the same treatment.

I’m curious to see where Perfect New World’s mobile game ends up going, as we already have a Perfect World Mobile MMO – but this looks contrastingly different to both the PC version and mobile versions of the game.

Perfect New World is a Brand New Upcoming Global MMORPG

Despite the unusual name (that seems to be an amalgamation of both the upcoming “New World” MMORPG from Amazon Game Studios, but also of the “Perfect World” MMORPG from Perfect World Entertainment,) it seems as though we’re getting a brand new upcoming open-world MMORPG later this year.

Yes, while we don’t know specifically what type of release is going to take place in 2021 (Alpha? Beta? Full release?) What we do know is that Perfect World Games are in the process of developing multiple MMORPGs, specifically, Perfect New World, for both PC and consoles. Yes you heard that correctly! This MMO is going to be completely cross-platform compatible, meaning that players will be able to play on their PC or the PS5/Xbox (if they opt to release on both, as currently the platforms in question are unconfirmed.)

You’d think considering this is being made under the same “Perfect World” IP that this would be a remake or a sequel, but it turns out they’re developing this to be run concurrently from the main Perfect World title, being entirely disconnected. Perfect New World is going to bring with it new features, new graphics, an overhauled combat system (although we’re uncertain whether it’s going to be action or tab-target,) and more.

Perfect New World Global Release?

Yes, Perfect New World has been confirmed to be releasing globally. We don’t have an exact release date for the global release as we don’t even have an exact release date for the Chinese incarnation of the game but it’s worth noting that they’re developing the MMO for global audiences in mind. So while it very well might end up pay-to-win, it should also cater (even if a little,) to Western players.

Now this is an interesting MMO announcement. I never anticipated Perfect World Games to develop another Perfect World MMORPG, especially given how much of my life (and money around 2008-2010) I wasted on that game, but here we are, with my past coming right back to the forefront of my life. Which I’m not complaining about, as those 2 years were some of the best of my entire career online playing video games.

I’m excited to see where Perfect New World ultimately ends up as this looks so drastically different to what we’re all used to, but at the same time I’m definitely cautiously optimistic.

Is PERFECT WORLD Worth Playing in 2021?

I played Perfect World International back in 2008 through 2010, a grand total of approximately 2 years. Yes, 2 years of my life and thousands of dollars were wasted in this MMORPG – and let me be the first to tell you that the time I spent, the people I worked alongside, and the memories I made, were definitely worth it. The financial investment however, was not. I still kick myself from time to time knowing how much I wasted on a game, but justify it with the logic that “I would’ve spent it on something else anyway.”

Fast forward 11 years after closing the door on that part of my life, I found myself curious of how Perfect World was doing in 2021. So I went ahead and downloaded the enormously-sized game and realized that I no longer had access to my original account. After re-signing up, I began a nostalgic trip down memory lane..

Upon logging in I learned that there were several new races, each with their corresponding race-specific classes. The Tideborn with the Psychic and Assassin classes, the Earthguard with the Seeker and Mystic classes, the Nightshade with the Duskblade and Stormbringer, and finally the Technician and Edgerunner which seemed to be Human and Winged Elf from what I could tell. Perfect World has always been known for its extensive character creator, but seeing the overhauled creator for the new Technician and Edgerunner classes was something else entirely. Almost like they’d taken a page out of Black Desert Online’s book – albeit not nearly to the same extent unfortunately.

pwi-2021-review-3-min

After making it into the game I found that we all share the same unique starting zone now. When I played, Humans started in Etherblade, Untamed in City of the Lost and Winged Elves in City of the Plume. Having a central starting zone makes it easier for players to join one another and participate in content together, but at the same time the game loses some of its unique personality. I remember back when I first played this game, Winged Elves possessed the ability to fly from level 1 whereas I as a Human had to earn that right. This meant that my sister, who I played with at the time was required to fly across the entire map to level with me, as there was no way I could reasonably be expected to traverse it on foot. Not having that experience for new players – or the opportunity for experience like that is definitely a con to having a general designated newbie area, but at the same time, I can understand this makes the game feel more alive, and presents more opportunities for early-level cooperative play.

By the time I ceased my playthrough of the game, I ended at approximately level 60. This was a bit of a grind to obtain, as leveling through the introductory levels of the game (1-15) was relatively quick and painless, and leveling up until 40 was fairly straightforward. After obtaining level 40 however, the quests became much more sparse, scattered all over the world without chains to follow through, wasting my time flying around the world from point A to point B then back to point A for 5% of my XP. This got progressively worse as the game went on, with level 50 requiring substantially more XP to level than 40. Quests were usually very basic, but time consuming as it took minutes to reach each location, but were as complex as “loot 5 items” or “kill 5 monsters.” Variety was evidently a flavor the developers were not familiar with, but at its core this is a Chinese MMORPG so it stands to reason.

pwi-2021-review-2-min

Thankfully there have been improvements made to both the graphical aspect of the game, and the gameplay. Not specifically pertaining to old classes – from what I could tell they looked as bland and boring as ever. However the new classes had much flashier special effects, looked significantly better and the environments in areas added with each of the large expansions that initially introduced the new races and classes were of equally high quality. This did leave a sense of disconnect, as half the game looked very flat and dated, and the other half looked like an entirely different game released 5 years later. The combat itself was tab-target, which, considering when this MMO was developed and released, makes sense. There really weren’t that many developers ready to take on the “new and innovative action combat system” at that point in time.

I know some of you might be wondering if the MMORPG is still pay-to-win. The short answer of it is yes, it most definitely still is. Not a single person I asked argued otherwise. But if you’re honestly not trying to be competitive, and are more of a casual player like I am, then this probably won’t be much of an issue to you.

pwi-2021-review-1-min

Overall, Perfect World International is still a very packed MMO. There are a lot of players out participating in everything the world has to offer. The chat is alive and filled with chatter. The market district is full of people trying to sell everything they can to afford more cash shop currency. There are plenty of guilds grinding up attempting to conquer the map. This is an MMORPG that has definitely withstood the test of time and although mismanaged to a degree by Perfect World Entertainment, is still a relatively solid game.

If you’re looking for something casual, I recommend trying this out. If you’re looking for something more competitive? Ready your wallet.

Perfect World Remake Release Date? A Brand New Cross-Platform MMORPG!

How many of you remember Perfect World International? I have fond memories of the game – I spent a lot of my childhood in there farming Twilight Temple for 6 hours a day so I could assert dominance over my fallen enemies in not only the open-world PvP but also the Territory Wars that took place every weekend.
Now it was just brought to my attention earlier this week that there is actually a brand new incarnation of the game in the works. And no, we’re not talking about Perfect World Mobile. This is a brand new MMORPG built to play cross-platform between both PC and consoles using Unreal Engine 4. No mobile compatibility at all.

Currently the MMO has two different titles: “Perfect World Remake,” and “Perfect World Console Version.” It was originally titled “Perfect World Console Version” when it was announced back in 2016, but as of 2020 has rebranded under the “Perfect World Remake” title.
A trailer was revealed for the game back towards the end of 2020 and was uploaded by the Archosaur Youtube channel so credit to him. If you’re interested in checking out the entire 5 minute video, I urge you to go check their channel out.
Currently, the MMO is slated for release on PC, PS4 and Xbox consoles – or at least it was when it was announced. With the recent pre-orders for PS5 and the new Xbox it’s uncertain if they’re going to shift their sights and focus to target the new consoles or not.
Nevertheless, the Perfect World Remake is going to be, in their words, “THE next-generation MMORPG.” Not “A next-generation MMORPG.” “THE!” That’s quite a bold statement to make and an even grander claim – with their inspiration for the game being closer to Black Desert Online and Blade & Soul.
Those are interesting titles to take inspiration from, right? They’re both horrendously pay-to-win but then if you take a moment to think about it.. Perfect World has always been heavily pay-to-win and this is a Chinese MMO, so.. stands to reason I guess.

Perfect World has always been known for its aerial combat and aerial exploration, and the brand new Perfect World title looks like it’s going to improve on that with new complex character motion, better character movement and control but most importantly – Perfect World is a tab-target MMO.
The remake however is not. The remake is actually going to be complete action – no tab-target at all.
When they said they were taking inspiration from Blade & Soul and Black Desert I never thought they were also referring to the combat, but here we are.
Granted both of the aforementioned MMOs have very different combat systems, but it’s worth noting that regardless of the combat type, they did state that combat won’t be mere “button mashing,” instead providing follow-up combo abilities that can only be utilized after specific combos have been achieved.
Honestly, from what I’ve seen of the combat it is kind of reminiscent of Blade & Soul and Vindictus. Seeing characters fly up in the air doing aerial combos, seeing the actual movement – the animation of each class is definitely very Vindictus-ish.

Perfect World was a large open-world MMO, allowing for players to freely explore the world almost without limitation.
This sense of freedom gave me what is by far one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had in the genre and is something I’ve wanted to see and feel again but has been pretty much absent the entire rest of my MMO career.
This remake has me a little uncertain of whether or not they’re going to have the same type of open-world or not. From what we can see in the trailers, they mostly show the characters in combat or exploring what seem to be dungeons.
I know Perfect World had plenty of dungeons, trust me, I do. But we don’t need the remake to be another instanced dungeon-crawler like Vindictus or Twilight Spirits. We have games like them already.

The developer behind the upcoming Perfect World Remake have quite a few other games in the works including a new Jade Dynasty, new Forsaken World and new Swordsman Online MMO all of which I figure I should probably cover as well over the next couple weeks.
If you guys recall, they actually shut down all 3 of the aforementioned MMOs over the last couple years.

Overall Perfect World Remake, which I hope is a title they reconsider as it just.. doesn’t really roll off the tongue like it should looks like it could be a very interesting title.
Does it look amazing? No. Not from the footage we’ve seen. Does it look good enough to be excited for? Definitely. The overhauls themselves warrant a sense of excitement as they’re bringing Perfect World into the next generation of gaming.

Perfect World Remake Release Date?

When is Perfect World Remake releasing? 2022, maybe later during 2023. 2021 would be too soon – information for the game has surfaced after 4 years of silence, so it looks to still be a ways off still.

Perfect World Mobile Introduces New Vulpine Class

I’ve talked about Perfect World in quite a few videos. Perfect World International was my 2nd MMO ever – I played it for years and it helped shape who I am today.
Then when Perfect World Mobile came out I didn’t think it’d really be possible to re-capture that feeling I had as a kid playing through its large world for the first time..
And while it is a different game, it left me with a strong feeling of nostalgia.
And I take it you guys enjoyed the videos I did on them as well considering the first video I did on it in August got almost 60,000 views and my follow-up one in September got almost 40,000.
So here I am again in November, having no lifed the game to max level.. okay that’s a bit of a lie.
The team behind the game actually sponsored this video by providing me with a max level character to try out the brand new Vulpine class.. which is Perfect World Mobile’s version of the Venomancer.

So the new Vulpine class..
Yeah, she’s adorable. It was one of the most popular classes in Perfect World International and has been one of the most anticipated races since Perfect World Mobile launched.
It’s understandable why – it’s both a race and class that has two separate forms – her Vulpine form and her Humanoid form. She’s also the only class that can tame companions to take into battle with you.
As has always been the case, Perfect World Mobile has absolutely beautiful character models and an incredibly detailed character creator, providing you the ability to create the little furry of your choice.
You got plenty of sliders to alter her face and most importantly.. you get to choose the adorable ears. Seriously. I think that’s probably what I’d spend most of my time on.
You also get to customize the fox form as well.. yup, you can be a chubby fox if you want.

So, I mentioned you have the ability to capture monsters and turn them into companions, right? Right. Those companions have their own abilities and types as well – something everyone that played International should know.
Any of you guys remember Hercules tanks or Phoenix’s in PvP? Yeah, Venomancer’s were a nightmare to fight, and I’m sure the Vulpine are going to absolutely wreck people in PvP as well. Not that that’s an issue for me.
Speaking of PvP, I figured I’d jump in and take the new Vulpine for a try. Granted, I was a little higher level than they were and I may have had slightly better gear.. but this was the test server.
They knew what they were getting into! Right, I probably should’ve lead with that. This entire playthrough of the game is done completely on the test-server. This is definitely not the live server.
You know when it launches onto the live servers it’s going to be absolutely packed with players running around as the new race and class. That’s always the case. And why wouldn’t you?
So on the topic of PvP.. because I got a little side tracked there, I jumped into The Pinnacle and took the Vulpine for a test-run, both in Humanoid form and in beast form.
I’ll admit, watching my character eat people alive as an adorable little fox was truly a marvel to behold. Honestly, I made short work of everyone I came across but again that’s ’cause I was pretty OP.

Speaking of the combat itself and how the Vulpine class functions, if you’d ever played Perfect World International, then it was pretty much as you’d expect.
You have two separate forms of attack: Your Humanoid form and your beast form.
Your Humanoid form takes on the role of a long-range mage, being able to hurl various types of elemental attacks at enemies from a safe distance.
She also possesses the ability to heal her companion – something you’re no doubt going to be required to do, lest it fall victim to an enemy and limit your ability to finish your enemies off.
Then you have your beast form, which interestingly is the complete opposite to the Humanoid form in so that while your Humanoid form utilizes magic, your beast form is a close-range melee type attacker.
Yup – so when morphing into your beast form you’ll be required to run in close-range to engage enemies. This makes the Vulpine a unique, very interesting hybrid of the two class-archetypes: Having the best of both worlds.
Your beast form has its own selection of skills to choose between as well, meaning that the type of enemy you’re engaged with will likely impact how you go about tackling the encounter.
This aids in captivating you, holding your attention and forcing you to think of the encounter you’re engaged with and how to best go about it.
While you’ll no doubt be capable of spamming your skills in the open-world using whatever form you want, dungeons are going to task you with swippy-swapping between the two forms if you want to best compliment your party.

Finally, I wanted to talk about one of the games’ newest additions: Marriage.
If you played Perfect World International, then this’ll come as no surprise to you, but Perfect World Mobile have already integrated marriage into the game.
To marry another player, you must be level 40 and have a friendship level of 1,000. Upon meeting those requirements, you can take a Stamp of Eternity – found in the cash shop to talk to an NPC to begin the marriage process.
There are varying methods of raising your friendship level ranging from just questing together, to purchasing items from the cash shop itself.
Yup. So technically you start off as friends and then end up marrying your best friend.. just like Mrs Stix and I.
Speaking of, if you’re interested in coming to our wedding ceremony in-game then be sure to click that link below and join us! Since we play this on and off this’ll be the perfect opportunity to have people attend one!

And.. there we are.
Perfect World Mobile is an incredibly fun game. It’s beautiful – astonishingly so. Its character models are some of the best in a mobile game and man the nostalgia I get every time I boot up this game is unreal.
I never thought I’d be playing Perfect World – let alone Perfect World Mobile on and off in 2019 – seriously, if you’d told me this would be the case I’d accuse you of lying. Or being an idiot. Either/or.
Because honestly before it released I didn’t even know it was a thing!
So here I am getting the opportunity to live out my childhood playing one of the MMOs that started it all for me, but this time I get to share it with my wife, and with my fans.
The new Vulpine class is an absolute blast, man. Probably the most innovative and most engaging class in-game thus far.
I look forward to leveling as one and can’t wait to see some of the characters people no doubt create.

Perfect World Mobile 2019 Launch First Impressions

Here we go again.
This, ladies and gentleman.. is the game that shaped my childhood. The single game that turned me into the man I am today.
I did a video on the pre-release of Perfect World Mobile last month. I was given a high level character to play through and capture footage to show off to all of you – and it was a great experience.
However, this time they reached out to me again and asked if I wouldn’t mind taking a look at the game post-release. Naturally, I’m down for that.
So yes, this video is sponsored if that wasn’t already evident, but due to that, we actually have a bunch of codes to give away on screen right now.
They give players some pretty sweet in-game goodies, so if I were you I’d jump in as soon as you can using the download link in the description and redeem them before someone else does!
You’ll find instructions on how to redeem those in the description below.

Since I discussed what Perfect World Mobile was last time, I don’t really feel too much need in rehashing it all over again, so let’s keep this fresh, new and exciting, yeah?
Perfect World Mobile has several classes and races available currently. While there are no doubt additional classes and maybe even races planned down the line, the current combinattions are as follows:
The Untamed have the Barbarian tank class – which I ended up going for this video as last time I went Wizard and MrsStix decided to go Elf so.. yeah, didn’t wanna overlap beginning areas.
The Humans have both the Wizard and Blademaster classes – which are both DPS. I played Blademaster originally in Perfect World International and haved a lot of exciting memories of when I played him.
The Winged Elves have both the Cleric and Archer classes – the Cleric was what Mrs Stix went and is the only healer in-game, whereas the Archer is the basic long-range bow and arrow class.

Each race has their very own starter areas, with Untamed beginning in City of the Lost, Humans in Etherblade and Winged Elves in City of the Plume.
All of the cities were re-created to look absolutely amazing – a significant improvement over their PC counterpart.

Each race also has their very own distinct character creator.
The Untamed, as an example, allow you to customize your new furry best friend’s humanoid form and tiger form.
I was tempted to go for a fat kitty because I wanted to tell people that I got that way feasting on my enemies but Iunno.. I wanted this to be a PG-13 video and thought that might be a little over the top.
So I opted to go for a deer-dude that turns into a slender albino cat. Worked for me.
The other races had very detailed character creation though. My wife made something very beautiful. I on the other hand.. I made something truly majestic.
Like, look at that face.
Oh, right, while we’re on the topic of character creation, I would like to let you all know that Perfect World Mobile offers a handy little QR Code feature.
You can save your characters appearance using a QR code which is then saved to your device, allowing anyone with that code the ability to fully replicate your character via scanning.
Naturally, restrictions based on class and race are imposed.. but I mean.. why wouldn’t they be?

Since this time I wanted to fully level through the game just like everyone else, I opted to create a brand new character with this purpose.
So I jumped in, began leveling and made it to a point where I could successfully enter dungeons and PvP, which is what I want to touch on next.

Well, as soon as I talk about combat, that is. Like Perfect World, the mobile incarnation of the game utilizes a tab-target combat system, but has an extensive AoEing combo system in place that keeps things fast and engaging.
Since I played Barbarian, I actually had two separate forms: Both my normal humanoid form and my tanking tiger form.
Each form had their own distinct set of abilities and therefore had a different focus on play. As an example, in kitty form I was a tank and pulled aggro with every hit, but didn’t deal as much damage as I did in my humanoid form.
This means that swapping between forms is a must if you want to maintain optimal aggro generation and damage output.
Which was quite crucial in dungeons. And I did several of them, mind you. The further I got the more difficult dungeons got, requiring more coordination from your team and general awareness of your surroundings.
Too often people stood in telegraphed attacks, forcing the healers to heal them almost repeatedly throughout the encounter.
Now I’m not normally one to gloat, but.. Thankfully I was quite powerful. This allowed me to do pretty sizable monster-pulls in each room, making the dungeon runs significantly faster.
Or, at least I thought they went faster. Maybe the DPS didn’t since I’m not even sure how many of them had AoEs. But I felt better about it.

PvP on the other hand, was an entirely different story.
I love PvP in games. I’m not exceptional at it by any means but that doesn’t stop me running in trying to kill everything I see.
Both my wife MrsStix and my sister Wiggy have played MMOs with me long enough to know that when I see someone I just YOLO at them, resulting in a lot of deaths. Mine, not theirs.
The PvP I participated in was the Pinnacle – a 1v1 environment where I got to assert my dominance over people less skilled than I am. Which admittedly was like.. 3 or 4 people, then I got stomped and quit to go cry in a corner.
Mrs Stix slowly caressed me and told me that everything would be okay, promising me that with enough time and effort I would one day be able to redeem myself for this disgrace.. but she couldn’t look me in the eyes while saying that so.. I doubt her sincerity.

Dungeons and PvP aren’t all there is to the game, though.
I joined a guild and learned that not only were there unique events to participate in as part of the guild, but there were also unique benefits you could partake of as well.
These included things like Guild Training, Life Skills, Gift Packets and a Guild Auction.
I opted to learn skills that would benefit me, such as the Fitness ability – increasing my overall HP quite significantly. I mean why wouldn’t I though right? I’m a tank. I need survivability more than I do the ability to fish.
Plus I’m a cat. Catching fish is a default skill I possess. Then I went on a guild quest to rid the area of a bunch of bandits, resulting in a final battle in the Stronghold of the Wraith.
Naturally I emerged victorious ’cause I’m just awesome like that.
P.S. If you happen to see me in-game, you’re more than welcome to join the guild I’m a part of and even say hey!

Then there are interesting Hidden Quests that can be discovered around the game-world. Like this old guy over here that required I sit down and meditate to appear before me.
He sent me on a little trip around the city before finally gifting me this piece of a flying mount, requiring I earn all 4 to obtain. Cool, right?

One final thing I’d like to point out is the fact that flight exists in Perfect World Mobile. The ability to soar across the skies – and, actually, even up into the skies!
There are cool little cities located around above the clouds with quests, and even a giant monkey that tries to swat you. Dunno why he’s so angry, but I didn’t stop to ask him either.
I’d purchased a premium flying mount from the cash shop partially through my journey in the game along with a cool outfit, as you can no doubt see in-game, and this made me look that much more badass while fighting.
Which you can also do while fighting, by the way.

Overall, Perfect World Mobile is probably the best mobile MMORPG on mobile devices right now. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and download the game using my link in the description and see for yourself!
Don’t forget to redeem these codes either to get some epic goodies!

Man, where do I begin with this one?
Back when I was younger I played Perfect World for 2 years. Two. Whole. Years I invested into that MMO. To claim it was an addiction is an understatement.
So when I learned that a sequel to the game, Perfect World Mobile was being made, I was ecstatic. Yes, it was on a mobile device but honestly, the gameplay I saw for it was truly astounding in comparison.
And you can see that first hand here. Look at the sheer difference in graphical quality – it’s almost like it’s a completely different game.
Fast forward to last week when I was contacted about taking a pre-launch sponsored look at the game before anyone else – a Perfect World fan’s dream right there.
How could I turn that down, right? I would’ve been crazy to.

SO WHAT IS PERFECT WORLD MOBILE?

Perfect World Mobile is kind of a.. retelling? A game set in the same world but with an alternate story to its PC counterpart.
It has many of the same base classes as Perfect World, has the same towns, cities and various monsters, and is possibly the closest mobile port of a PC MMO I’ve seen to date.
The features, such as cultivation levels, flight, aerial combat, underwater exploration, large dungeons, equipment, and even skills are also taken right from Perfect World.
Legit, I’m not making this up: It’s as if the devs behind the game took Perfect World, and threw it on mobile devices, giving the game what I can only explain as a necessary graphical makeover.
But, you can tell that at the same time it’s made for mobile devices as the game makes use of various mobile features such as character power – something every mobile gamer knows of.
Since it’s set in a different time – or set in a different reality, moreso, the entire premise of the game is different. Yes, the format remains much the same: It’s an MMORPG.
You level your character, you make progress through the game’s story and ultimately you end up hitting endgame, grinding dungeons and group content.

HOW'S COMBAT, THEN?

Honestly, I’m a PC MMO-gamer, first and foremost. Yes I play a lot of games on the PS4 but my MMOs are played on the PC.
This is one of those rare times where I can see actual enhancements made on the mobile version of the game that I wish were made in the PC version.
Combat is just so much faster, so much better looking and so much more fun in Perfect World Mobile. And I don’t say that lightly.
Perfect World is a very dated game. A very fun game still to this day, but you know it looks and feels dated.
Perfect World Mobile made the necessary adjustments to combat to really take the game to the next level on mobile devices.
I typically play Mobile games for my mobile channel on emulators like Nox but I can safely say that I played through hours of this game on my iPhone.. while on the toilet.
Hey, don’t look at me like that. That’s my alone time – time when I get to have a solid 30 minutes to myself watching cute cat videos or fail clips on Youtube without judgement.
The special effects for spells were beautiful, though, and I can honestly say that I wish the PC version of the game had spell effects like that.
I played Wizard as I always wanted to in Perfect World ’cause I liked the flashy spells they used and I was not disappointed. While yes the combat in both games is tab-target, you barely feel it in Perfect World Mobile.
While fighting you can cycle through enemies or, heck, the game even cycles automatically to the next enemy all on its own and you don’t even feel it – it’s just completely seamless.

YOU MENTIONED THE GRAPHICS..

Yes, the graphics. Man. When I went into character creation I hoped that it would offer the same kind of customization that Perfect World did.
When Perfect World was new, even pushing into the late 2000s, it had some of the most innovative character creation in an MMO to date. Even going into the 2010s that game had amazing character creation.
Over time other games have caught up – naturally, that’s what happens as technology moves along. However, Perfect World Mobile offered me similar character customization to what I recall from my childhood.
The ability to heavily construct my Wizard’s face in the form I wanted, change the structure of my characters body, and.. well, have the general freedom, ultimately, to create the character I knew I could do in old Perfect World.
I came up with something pretty damn good, too. As is evident in the video.

WHAT ABOUT CLASSES?

Currently there are 5 classes in total: The Elves have Cleric and Archer, the Human’s have Blademaster and Wizard, and the Untamed have the Barbarian.
Missing was the Venomancer from the Untamed’s class list but I’m sure that’ll be added in time. I remember how overpowered Venomancer’s were back in Perfect World with their Hercules and Phoenix pets, my god.
Each class is gender locked – with Males being Archers, Blademasters, and.. well Barbarian’s have always been males, so. Females get the Wizard and the Cleric.
The Wizard was a ton of fun to play, honestly. It made me reminisce a little on what it would’ve been like to play a Wizard back in Perfect World.
I feel like I missed out, but at the very least I get to experience it here – with these graphics.

MY THOUGHTS

I cannot stress how much of an influence Perfect World had on my childhood. It was responsible for making me skip school, forget I had homework, and teaching me to PK someone if they took my grinding spot.
But at the same time it taught me how to work together with other people to overcome obstacles, it taught me how to make new friends, regardless of what they looked like or where they were from.
It was my first “big MMO.” Without it, I never would’ve made this channel and I never would’ve gotten into MMOs. So it’s partly responsible for why I’m here right now, and why you’re watching me.
Perfect World Mobile is a worthy successor to the Perfect World name. Yes, it’s on mobile. But the sheer size and scale of the game, along with the reoccuring features and – well, the soul of the game captured in the way it is.
I can honestly say that it’s definitely worth checking out.

Another MMORPG that’s being requested a lot, that we thought we should take another look at, however we’re not playing on the official servers.
Instead we’re playing on a Private server.

Now, Perfect World is a fun MMORPG, once you get higher, the general gameplay of PWI improves.. but UGH, the “starter zone” sucks, so much.
It’s boring, it’s slow.. you don’t get to kill many monsters.. it’s just bad.

I look forward to being done with it!
